Help us bring the magic of books to every child in Dublin 24

Partner with us and help bring Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to more families in Dublin 24.

Imagine a world where every child’s mind is ignited by the wonder of stories, where family bonds grow stronger with each page turned, and where learning knows no bounds.

At the Childhood Development Initiative (CDI), we are delighted to bring the magic of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to families in Dublin 24.

Reading is a cornerstone of a child’s educational journey, fostering cognitive development and parent-child bonding. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library ensures that every enrolled child, regardless of background, can build their own personal library of up to 60 books by the time they graduate from the programme.

We deliver around 5,000 books monthly to young readers in Dublin 24 with over 300,000 books delivered in Tallaght to date.

We Need Your Support!

Opportunity:
We invite you to partner with us by sponsoring one month of book deliveries each year for three years. The cost to sponsor one month of book deliveries is €7,500, which means that for just €1.50 per book, you can bring joy and learning to up to 5,000 children in our community every month.

DPIL Sponsor Flyer

This is an excellent way to show your employees and those you work with that you’re serious about your Environmental, Sustainable and Corporate Governance (ESG) goals. This initiative directly links with Sustainable Development Goals 4 (Quality Education) and 10 (Reduced Inequalities). Contributors will be featured in social media and related press activities during their month of sponsorship and within CDI’s Annual Report.

Why Support This Programme?

Reading is a cornerstone of a child’s educational journey, fostering cognitive development and parent-child bonding. Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library ensures that every enrolled child, regardless of background, can build their own personal library of up to 60 books by the time they graduate from the programme.

Our Reach:

  • Delivering around 5,000 books monthly to young readers in Dublin 24
  • Over 300,000 books delivered in Tallaght to date
  • More than 6,000 programme graduates as of May 2024
  • Part of a global community that has distributed over 200 million books

Some of the books really helped with my son’s development. His development is delayed. The books really helped me engage with him. He makes limited eye contact and has very limited speech and language. Books such as ‘Rosie’s Walk’, ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?’, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’, and ‘Stanley’s Opposites’ helped with his speech and interaction.”
