About Restorative Practices (RP)

Restorative Practices (RP) are both a philosophy and a set of skills that have the core aim of building strong relationships and transforming conflict in a simple and emotionally healthy manner.

Restorative Practices: Train the Trainer Course Overview

This advanced level of Restorative Practices, Training of Trainers course will equip participants with the skills and materials necessary to deliver training in the use of RP to their chosen target groups. Participants will learn how to train others in implementing RP within individuals, organisations, and communities. Additionally, participants will acquire the expertise to instill Restorative Practices in various settings.

  • Training Delivery: Gain the skills to train others in RP implementation.
  • Embedding RP: Learn techniques to embed RP within everyday practices in various environments.
  • Quality Assurance: Understand how to maintain high standards in the use of RP within organisations and communities.
  • Comprehensive Resources: Receive a full list of references and necessary resources for delivering RP training.

Entry Requirements

To participate in this course, individuals must:

  • Have completed CDI’s training in Restorative Practices, such as “Getting Started with RP,”  “RP Facilitation Skills,”  or the “Restorative Practices Summer Course for Teachers’.
  • Possess experience using Restorative Practices in their personal and professional lives.
  • Have organised to deliver RP training to a chosen target group within four months of completing the initial five days of training, during which they will be observed and supported by a CDI RP Quality Specialist.

By fulfilling these requirements, participants will be well-prepared to deliver impactful RP training and foster a culture of strong, healthy relationships within their communities.

Fees:
The Course Fee is €975 which must be paid in full before the Course starts. This Course will be delivered by a team of RP Trainers with extensive experience of implementing RP in their lives and in work settings and of delivering RP training to a variety of target groups.

Course Schedule

This course includes five days of training (9.30am to 2.30pm) in July or August, plus two more days later. Trainee trainers co-deliver the “Getting Started With RP” course within four months, with observation and support from a CDI RP Quality Specialist. Required reading material is provided.
