Data Specialist Opportunity at CDI

We are seeking a skilled Data Specialist to join our team in Dublin.

As our Data Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in strengthening our monitoring and evaluation systems, supporting staff and services to maximise the impact of our data-driven approach.

The Data Specialist role at CDI aims to bolster and sustain our monitoring and evaluation systems while supporting our staff and contracted services to optimise data collection, analysis, and utilisation. This pivotal position will drive our evidence-based approach, ensuring that CDI’s community development initiatives are informed by robust, insightful data. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our data-driven decision-making processes, ultimately maximising the impact of our programmes on the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise programme logic models and evaluation plans
  • Analyse CDI programme data and produce insightful reports
  • Enhance our information management systems
  • Extract valuable insights from national datasets
  • Train staff and stakeholders in monitoring and evaluation best practices
  • Support external evaluation processes
  • Contribute to CDI’s consultancy services
  • Represent CDI externally, advocating for evidence-based approaches

The Ideal Data Specialist Candidate

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative data collection and analytical skills 
  • Excellent technical skills including SPSS and Excel    
  • Experience and skills in managing multiple projects/tasks at the same time with a focus on deliverables 
  • Strong communication, reporting and visualisation skills 
  • Capacity to mentor across a range of disciplines and sectors.
