Join Us for the Family Fun Day at Tallaght Library!

Puppet Show, Songs & Music for Kids, Bingo, Drawing, Stories, & More!

The Childhood Development Initiative (CDI) is excited to invite you to our Free Family Fun Day! This special event will take place on Thursday, 4 July, from 12pm to 2pm at Tallaght Library. We have a fantastic line-up of activities and entertainment for children of all ages.

No need to book, just turn up!

Event Highlights

Puppet Show: “Red Riding Hood”

Moon and Sixpence Puppet Theatre

Moon and Sixpence Puppet Theatre

12pm — 1pm

Enjoy a humorous and interactive puppet show by the renowned Moon and Sixpence Puppet Theatre. “Red Riding Hood” will captivate the whole family with its charming and engaging performance.

Music and Songs with Sarah Sparkles

1pm — 2pm

Sarah Sparkles children's entertainer, creates bubbles for happy childr

Sarah Sparkles will lead a fun and interactive session filled with songs, movement, and dancing. This session is designed for babies, toddlers, and young children (0—5 years). Limited capacity, so arrive early to secure your spot!

Face Painting with Genie Mackers

12pm — 2pm

Genie Mackers, dressed in character, will delight children aged 0–8 years with her fantastic face-painting skills.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Sign-Up

12pm — 2pm

Children under the age of 5 with a D24 address can sign up to receive a free book every month, courtesy of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Don’t miss this opportunity to foster a love of reading from an early age!

Library Bingo & Colouring

12pm — 2pm

Back by popular demand, library bingo and colouring activities promise hours of creative fun for the little ones.

Celebrate with Us

We are also celebrating the delivery of 300,000 Dolly Parton Imagination Library books to children in Tallaght! Join us for a memorable day full of joy and excitement as we mark this incredible milestone.
